SONGWRITING CONTEST
Judging Criteria: melody, arrangement, lyrics, creativity/originality, and overall feel/vibe.
Judges: an anonymous panel of experienced Kansas songwriters and musicians
*Every song that is submitted will be listened to attentively by the panel. Constructive comments will be written by the judges during this listening session, and these comments will be mailed to the songwriter as a means of providing valuable feedback. There is no limit to the number of songs that can be submitted.
Please note that singing ability and technical proficiency on an instrument don't matter! We're judging songs, not performance ability. On the same token, recording quality doesn't matter either--as long as it's good enough for us to actually hear the song, we'll judge it accordingly.
